As well as employing experienced teachers, the College is interested in recruiting good graduates who have a desire to enter the teaching profession. Opportunities are available in various subjects for the right candidate, whether straight out of university or looking for a career change.

Though our association with the Lion Alliance, we offer a year’s training as part of the School Direct scheme, leading to QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Placements would be at Princethorpe and also other schools within the Lion Alliance. Our training is supported by Warwick University and by our experienced mentors within the college. Successful applicants are able to apply for bursaries and scholarships for certain subjects.

    Crackley Hall School

Required to start in July, we seek to recruit a full-time Estates Operative to join our friendly and professional Estates Department, working alongside our team at Crackley Hall to provide a safe and high-quality working, learning and recreational environment. Estates Operatives work closely with the Site Supervisor to perform a range of caretaker-type duties. The role is crucial in providing a fully functioning, organised, clean, tidy, secure and well-maintained site for use by its many stakeholders.

The role is all year round (52 weeks) for 37.5 hours per week (with a one hour unpaid break per day). The working pattern is predominately Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 7.00pm.

Some flexibility will be required in respect of working hours, but there are also opportunities for additional work to support key events and opportunities to earn overtime/time off in lieu.

The salary point is D5 of the Princethorpe Foundation support staff scale, currently £12.50 per hour. The actual salary based on 37.5 hours per week is £24,375.

An annual leave allowance of 25 days plus 8 bank holidays is included with the role.

In addition, the Foundation sites are formally closed between Christmas and New Year and staff are not required to work during this period. This does not affect the 25 day annual leave allowance.

Potential candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school’s website www.crackleyhall.co.uk for more information about our thriving School, which offers a rich curriculum and strong sense of community. Continuing Professional Development is encouraged and personal visits to the school are welcome.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Foundation that values its staff and offers a rewarding benefits package including discounted places for staff, a pension scheme and a cycle to work scheme.

Application: To apply for this vacancy applicants must submit a Crackley Hall application form, together with a CV and covering letter detailing personal qualities, experience and how you meet the person specification for the role. Applicants must ensure the application form is fully completed, including a detailed career history with specific dates.

Closing date: The closing date for applications is Tuesday 27 May 2025, at 9.00am with interviews likely to be held later in the week or early the following week, at Crackley Hall School.
