Training To Become A Teacher at Princethorpe

As well as employing experienced teachers, the College is interested in recruiting good graduates who have a desire to enter the teaching profession. Opportunities are available in various subjects for the right candidate, whether straight out of university or looking for a career change.

Though our association with the Lion Alliance, we offer a year’s training as part of the School Direct scheme, leading to QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Placements would be at Princethorpe and also other schools within the Lion Alliance. Our training is supported by Warwick University and by our experienced mentors within the college. Successful applicants are able to apply for bursaries and scholarships for certain subjects.

    Crescent School

    Required to start in January 2026, or soon after, we are looking for an outstanding part-time Key Stage 2 teacher to join the team here at Crescent School.

    An enthusiasm to become involved with the extra curricular life of the school is essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate success in the classroom, be effective team players with a genuine love of teaching.

    This is a part-time teaching role, equivalent to 0.5 of a full-time role and is based at Crescent School.

    The ideal working pattern would be five mornings a week, 8.30am to either 11.20am or 12.20pm each day.

    We also welcome applications from candidates who can offer the required number of hours across four days of the week.

    Salary is by negotiation, depending on relevant experience.
