Training To Become A Teacher at Princethorpe

As well as employing experienced teachers, the College is interested in recruiting good graduates who have a desire to enter the teaching profession. Opportunities are available in various subjects for the right candidate, whether straight out of university or looking for a career change.

Though our association with the Lion Alliance, we offer a year’s training as part of the School Direct scheme, leading to QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Placements would be at Princethorpe and also other schools within the Lion Alliance. Our training is supported by Warwick University and by our experienced mentors within the college. Successful applicants are able to apply for bursaries and scholarships for certain subjects.

    The Princethorpe Foundation

    We are looking for a dynamic, creative and organised person to join our new team.

    The Events Co-ordinator will support the development of the school into an established events venue locally, growing the business at all times and working closely with the Commercial Enterprises Manager.

    This is a 20-hour a week all year-round role. Because of the nature of the job there will be some work outside normal working hours so working hours are flexible and will be up to five days or over seven days per week according to the business needs.

    The starting salary range for this role is D10 to E2 of the Foundation Pay Scales £24,472-£28,255.76 (£13,052 .00 to £15,069.60 actual) per annum by negotiation, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.

    The Princethorpe Foundation salary scale is associated with but some way above national scales.
